Songs, fingerplays, story-songs, rhythm activities, visual aids, hand-held props, bouncing and moving is what this cozy class is all about. You and your PRE-preschooler will be exposed to the basic elements of Music through colors, numbers, moving, watching and listening. This eight week course is very relaxed, allowing your little one to respond naturally to each segment of the 25-minute session. Class will be kept small; no more than six enrollees for a comfy, safe experience.

    Whether you are three or sixty-three this delightful program is a fun, holistic approach to song, rhythm and dance, geared for your age group 

     Each eight-to-twelve-week course (depending on the season) explores the eight universal dance steps i.e. walk, run, hop, jump, slide, gallop, leap and skip. You’ll be amazed to discover how many ways there are just to walk! Rhythm activities come alive through the use of language, the human body and percussion instruments. Improvisation becomes fun and easy when we get out the glockenspiels. Visual aids and hand-held items help to evoke a response during singing games. Creative movement is inspired through dance fantasies and props of all sorts.

    Each lesson opens you up to the elements of music (pitch, timbre, rhythm, meter, dynamics, phrasing, note values, etc.) while encouraging vocal and verbal expansion, self-awareness, social interaction, large muscle motor activity, dramatic play and intense listening.
